Dans Bio
I've been playing guitar for 14 years and I've been living off of it for at least 3. I have shared stages with: Savoy Brown, The Jeff Healy Band, Randy Hansen, Whiskey Creek, Tinsley Ellis, Rockin' Jake Band, and Coco Montoya. I played several festivals and fairs including Mt. Baker Blues and Rendezvous. In my current project we cover Skynyrd, Zeppelin, AC/DC, ZZ Top, and many other hard rock groups. I also play with a blues rock band, a country bluegrass group, and performed on several session gigs, involving a variety of original and cover tunes. I was born in South Carolina, and have been to 43 states and 5 countries. I make my home in Bellingham, Washington, and have roots in north-central Idaho. I worked professionally as a mechanic for 12 years and still do the occasional side job if it's worth my time. I also worked as a landscaper in Virginia, a teacher in New York, and a vagrant in Florida. All told I know what it's like to work for a living and I know what it's like to play guitar for a living, and I am willing to do what it takes to make my living with my guitar. I don't like getting drunk and I don't like dealing with drunks. Same thing goes for drugs or pills. If a man wants to get loose before a show that's his business, but he better be able to handle his parts. I'm a professional, and I work hard to make good music, and I expect the same from my band members. I work well with pretty much anybody and I am always willing to compromise. I have a real easy-going attitude and I always see the humor in a situation. I'm comfortable in the studio, although I tend to want to retake everything, and I'm very charismatic on stage. I like to interact with the band and the audience and try to engage as many people as possible. I can sing lead on almost a hundred cover tunes and I can sing harmonies on most songs if need be. I'm a solid rythmn player and a competent soloist, with a great feel for song dynamics. I'm confident that we can put together a full night of polished tunes in the time-frame that we talked about, as well as perform a unique stage show at a variety of venues.
